Patrick

I am an artist living in Småland. Drawing and other forms of mark making are the basis of my work, often in a printmaking context. Danse Macabre is a recurring point of origin in my practice, the juxtaposition of our lust for life with our inherent mortality. I'm interested in the written word: its poetic and visual components when present in an art context.

My works are exhibited and collected internationally, the bulk of it public collections across Sweden and Finland. I've held positions at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, the HBK in Braunschweig and am an alumni of Kuvataideakatemia (now Uniarts) Helsinki and KHiB (now KMD at UiB) Bergen, as well as Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel and the National University of Arts Bucharest.

I run Black Heart Press, a collaborative printshop focussing on stone lithography.
